VP Newsletter - December 2011

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I know it has been awhile since I've written a news article been very busy with work, home and ABATE events and time goes so fast anymore.

Denise and I have been to Freebirds Chapter meeting, Freedom Valley, and Heart of Illinois and by the time this comes out Fulton county. A group of us made it to Heart of Illinois Larry Howell, Scott Stoneberger,Tiffany, and Denise. I want to thank them for taking the time and going with me. All chapters gave us a very warm welcome and we really appreciated this and it was great to see people we haven't seen in a while we need to do this more often to see what is going on with other chapters in our area.

From talking and listening to everyone they have the same issues we have. Membership keeps dropping, people not showing up for events, etc. so I would like to start working closer with the area chapters and see if we can put together something to help get more members and people active in their chapters and see what is going on. With everyone working together maybe we can come up with ideas to help make things better for all chapters.

Dan from Twisted Spoke (Pekin and now his other location in Tremont) has given 3 Chapters in the area a great opportunity to be part of his bike give away he does every year and to set up at Bike Nites for membership and help all area chapters to draw members I want to THANK him for this opportunity.

We have a lot going on with the Holidays coming up and I want to wish everyone a safe Holiday season and a very Merry Christmas to all.

Don’t forget to go and see the sponsors times are getting tough for all. Friends has reopened and Shellie has got this place looking great and the warm welcome is still there glad to see this back because it is a good time for all.

One last thing riding season is almost gone the leaves are on the ground AND THEY CAN GET VERY SLICK SO BEWARE and the DEER are moving so take the time and slow down .

Thanks to all Peo-Taz members this has been a great year. Looks like I'm doing one more term as VP.
