State Representative Newsletter - June 2011
We had a great (a little chilly) day for the May 1 Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Rally to Springfield. It looked as though the amount of riders who reached Springfield in general was down but not because of Central Illinois! We had a a good showing in our parade ride to the Capitol!
The State BOD decided that the 2011 MRF pledge from the state will be $1.00 per member . This in addition to any other dollars raised by individual chapters and/or members.
Date of the state seminar is January 20-22, 2012 at the Northfield in Springfield. They are working on getting a motivational speaker for the guest speaker. More information on when to make reservations to come.
As of this writing, there is a bill to authorize year around license plates.
Pauli brought up the continuing problems with the AD&D insurance company. This is the free AD&D that is provided to you because you are a member of A.B.A.T.E. If anyone has a problem; get the agent's name and phone number. Send it to Mike Myers or Pauli Ward at the state office. If you have a claim; run it through the state office because Pauli is the liason.

May 27-29 The Cornbelt Shuffle.
June 24-26 A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois 25th Annual State Rendevous will be at the Effingham County Fairgrounds..
July 8,9,10 2011 is the annual West Central Regional Party. The location is Adams County Fairgrounds just Northeast of Quincy.
August 20, 2011 is the Budweiser Grand Nationals Weekend. The location is the Peoria RiverFront Park. Did I mention Ted Nugent?.
