From the President's Desk....

February Article There sure weren’t many of good folks at the January meeting. I suppose when you read that we were having a potluck dinner after the meeting you decided to stay home because you didn’t want to break your New Year resolution. You know the one you made about losing weight. Well we had chicken and a whole bunch of other fantastic groceries. And the desert was just great. Bet you can guess I didn’t make that resolution. During the meeting we were able to fill all the positions. Your new Secretary is Starr Dunlap and the Sponsor Director is Julie Howell. Welcome aboard ladies. Our other positions are Trustee and Webmaster. I can tell you this much we have a letter of intent for Trustee and two for Webmaster. The trustee is an elected position by the membership and the Webmaster is an appointed position by the Board. Just because we have letters of intent at this time doesn’t mean that you can’t put in for these positions before the meeting in February. Please send your letter of intent to George McAvin your Vice-President. I say this because he will be conducting the February meeting. While I‘ve been out and about, I have noticed that the Start Seeing Motorcycle signs are still out in some folks yard. I realize we’ve had exceptional weather for this time of the year, but it would be nice if you would please take them down before the winter weather destroys them. Then do put them back up the Spring. Thank You. I’m taking the opportunity now to Thank You for sending me to the State Seminar that took place in January. I have always taken away from the seminar something new in ideas. Not that I’ve always been able to implement them but because it has kept me learning. Just a quick reminder, Grand National meetings will be starting in February. Be sure to come to the membership meeting to learn the date, place and time. Until the next time keep warm and stay dry.
